These are the questions boiler company owners most often ask before starting identity work. The short answers are above; the notes below explain the reasoning behind a few of them. If your question is not here, the contact page explains the quickest way to ask us directly.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a boiler company identity cost?

Identity projects are quoted in writing because scope varies widely. For context, our marketing plans start at $2,998 per month and websites at $3,500, plus GST/HST at your province's rate. Wrap printing and garments are paid directly to your suppliers.

Do we have to sign a long contract?

No. Monthly plans have no lock-in, and project work is defined in a written scope before it starts. If the scope changes, we agree the change in writing first.

How long does it take from first call to wrapped vans?

A logo and identity project usually takes about five to six weeks of design and decisions. Naming adds a few weeks plus your lawyer's review time, and vehicles follow installer schedules. Most full projects run over a couple of months.

We tried an agency before and got a logo we never used. Why would this be different?

That usually happens when a logo is presented on a white page and never tested on a sticker, a shirt or a van. We show every direction on your real applications, keep the number of options small, and plan the rollout before the design is finished, so the identity goes into use.

Who owns the logo files and the name?

You do. You receive the master files, colour specifications and rulebook in full. Any trademark filing is made in your company's name through your own lawyer or trademark agent, and your domains and online accounts stay registered to you.

Can you check whether our name is trademarked?

We do a preliminary screen of the Canadian Trademarks Database and provincial registries, but that is not legal clearance. Have a lawyer or registered trademark agent review the name before you print or file anything.

Do you install wraps or supply uniforms?

No. We design and specify, then review proofs from your chosen installer and apparel supplier. We do not sell products or take a margin on production.

Are you a heating contractor?

No. We are a branding and marketing studio within the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, and our work stops at design, planning and promotion; installing and servicing boilers is your trade, not ours.

Will rebranding hurt our Google reviews?

Not if it is done carefully. Edit your existing Google Business Profile rather than creating a new one, keep the same phone number, and redirect old web pages to new ones. Our rebranding guide covers each step.

Can you promise more calls after the rebrand?

No, and nobody honestly can. We can show named results from our HVAC work, set up tracking before the change, and report what happens to calls and branded searches afterwards.

What reporting do we get?

For identity projects, a written brief, dated milestones and a final file package. If you also take a marketing plan, reporting is monthly on Starter and weekly on Growth, with custom reporting and a real-time dashboard on Elite.

Do you work with companies outside BC?

Yes. We work with boiler companies in all 10 provinces and 3 territories. Our region pages explain the registries, language rules and climate factors that affect branding in each one.

Can you brand a boiler division inside our HVAC company?

Yes. It is one of our most common projects. The first decision is how closely the division should be tied to the parent brand, which shapes the name, the vans and the uniforms.

About cost and value

The honest answer to "what does a logo cost?" is "it depends on what you need it to do." A one-van company needing a cleaner version of its existing mark is a small job. An HVAC firm naming a boiler division, designing for a mixed fleet of eight vehicles and changing over its listings is a large one.

What we can tell you up front is what the related marketing costs, because those prices are published. Plans start at $2,998 per month and websites at $3,500; see the pricing page for every tier. We would rather give you a firm written quote after one conversation than a range that means nothing.

About trust and past experiences

Many owners we speak with have paid for branding before and been disappointed. The common causes are easy to recognise:

  • the designer never saw the vans, the stickers or the uniforms
  • the files arrived in the wrong formats, or never arrived at all
  • the logo looked fine on a screen and failed in embroidery or vinyl
  • nobody planned how the new brand would replace the old one

Each of our services is built to prevent one of those failures, and the rollout service exists specifically for the last one.

About timing

Most owners underestimate how long decisions take, not how long design takes. The design work for a logo and identity fits into roughly five or six weeks; what stretches a project is waiting for partners to agree, for a lawyer to clear a name, or for an installer to find a slot.

Three habits keep projects on schedule:

  1. Name one decision-maker at the start, even in a family business with several partners.
  2. Book installers early. Wrap shops and embroiderers get busy before the heating season, so reserve time once the logo direction is chosen.
  3. Work backwards from a date that matters, such as new vans arriving, a second location opening or the start of the fall rush.

About ownership

Everything you pay for belongs to you. That includes master artwork, colour specifications, the rulebook, your domains, your Google Business Profile and any advertising accounts we set up. We set accounts up in your company's name and add ourselves as users, never the other way round. If you leave, you remove our access and keep working without interruption.

We do not give legal advice. We will tell you when a name looks risky in a preliminary search, and we will prepare a note for your lawyer, but the decision on whether to use or register a name belongs with a lawyer or registered trademark agent. The Canadian Intellectual Property Office publishes a clear guide to trademarks, and our naming guide explains how to prepare for that conversation.

The same applies to regulatory content. If a safety authority, your insurer or a language law requires something on your vehicles or advertising, confirm the requirement with them. The areas page links the relevant authorities for each province and territory.

About results

We will not promise a number of calls, because the outcome depends on your market, your pricing and how well your team answers the phone. What we will do is set up measurement before anything changes, so you can compare honestly afterwards.

About what we are, and are not
